Read case →Ceramic tiles win on pure abrasion (e.g., dry quartz). UHMWPE wins on impact, wet/sticky materials, and cold service. For most mines handling damp ore, UHMWPE outlasts ceramic and is far easier to install (no epoxy, no precise fit-up).
20 – 25 mm is standard for iron ore. 30 mm if you have heavy lump (>200 mm) or impact zones. We can do 50 mm in impact pockets bonded to thinner field plates.
We supply pre-drilled and countersunk plates. Customer typically sources stainless or zinc-plated M12 / M16 hardware locally — we can include hardware if requested but freight + duty often makes it more expensive than buying locally.
Standard 20 FCL holds ~5 tons of 20 mm UHMWPE = ~70 sheets of 1500×3000. We palletize on heat-treated wood with corner protection. Delivery FOB Qingdao 18-25 days from PO.
UHMWPE retains impact strength down to liquid nitrogen temperatures (-196 °C). For practical mining (Siberia, Mongolia, Andes high altitude) UHMWPE simply doesn't get brittle the way HDPE or PP do.
